[pct-l] Snakes and bears

Last April I was running the trail from campo to lake Moreno when I came up  
to a hiker that was stopped on the trail, He was watching a three ft long 
snake  stretched out on the trail warming up. I went around the snake and told the 
 hiker to get his camera out. I than got a long stick and moved it towards 
the  snake, the snake coiled up and raised its body up to where it was 16 to 18" 
 tall. He got a great picture.
