I'm not selling anything on the list with profit in mind.  Break-even at
best.  Combining group purchase power to obtain a good deal on a desirable
product of special interest to long-distance hikers.  Volunteering my time
to do so.  A perfectly reasonable use of the list, IMO.

If you are speaking as the list administrator, I will take your admonition
to heart.  If not, what right do you have to order me not to do something?

And thanx to those who stood up for me after the message below appeared on
AT-L.:-)    It really should have been a private communication to me, but
since it was put on the list, I'm responding on the list.  However, I see no
reason to continue the discussion publicly.
