The Shakespeare quote I was searching for on AT Poetry Night is as
follows:
Such wind as scatters young men through the world,
To seek their fortunes farther then at home
Where small experience grows.
It is spoken by Petruchio in Act 1 Scene 2 of The Taming of the Shrew.
In that quote, the word 'home' is meant to mean "to the utmost".
Wonderful hiking fuel indeed.
