Some of you "know" Nira from her posts every once in a
while here on AT-L. She should be on her way to the
airport now.
Saw her last night to wish her fare well. Needless to
say she has many of the pre-trail thoughts we all
have. Nervousness, excitement, wonder.
Over the past few months, it has been my pleasure to
be a de facto AT coach (her words!) for her. As I told
her, if she does well it is all her doing. If
something goes wrong, blame me. :D
Nira was the focus of the recent tuckerization at the
Ruck. Going INTO the Ruck, her pack was just under 18
lbs. Not too shabby for a first time long distance
hiker!
In a, "ain't that cool", the same local paper that did
an article on Crocs has a little blurb about her hike.

That's Nira from a stove making night.
Anyway..she'll be at Springer tomorrow on a journey
she wull not forget.
