I think it makes it sound like a sub-chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
There is the Pennsylvania Conservancy and the California Conservancy and now
the AT Conservancy. So the organization loses all of its status as the
elder and premier trail organization and becomes identified as a local
chapter of an environmental organization that has been investigated for
financial abuses. Not a good move.
