Is there a reason I should take this in my pack or put it in my bounce box?

If you are adding it to your identification pack (Drivers License, etc.) then 
you will be able to take advantage of any special sales at Outfitters along 
the way.  It doesn't weigh much (less than the patch you received fro the ATC) 
and it sure doesn't take up much room.
