       Anybody seeking pure AT hike information is best going to
Trailplace.com. That site has a wealth of hiking information available in a
website form. There is no need to interact or receive e-mails if you simply
scan the site...


          A good solution to the current AT-L problems is an AT-L site with
an auto-scrolling message board. That way 2 days worth of messages would
automatically appear and scroll down. Half the volume problem is the physical
work of highlighting and opening individual posts. With a scrolling board
this step is eliminated. Direct responses to the poster can be made by
clicking on the poster's address at the head of the text. A day with large
volume could be scanned quickly with uninteresting topics passed in an
instant...

     A small AT through-hiking FAQ's could be included on a site...
