[at-l] Fund raising?

I am a Hospice Nurse and will be starting my thru hike this coming =
March.  Recently the thought crossed my mind that perhaps my walk could =
serve two purposes, one being a life long dream come true and two, =
raising funds for my favorite organization - Hospice.  Do any of you =
"old salts" have any experience with fund raising and hiking???
