A couple of small points:

1) The climb out of DWG is quite easy as these things go.  No rock climbs.
The only obstacle is the rocky road after Sunfish Pond.
2) $8 at Mohican is the "Thru-hiker" rate.  They will charge $18 for
"regular" backpackers.  Sorry about that.  $18 is still cheap, after all you
are getting close to NYC.
