"(Fill in the blank) and baking soda" is one of the universal cleaning 
solutions. Another is to get a bottle of an enzyme solution at your local 
pet shop. Just lightly spray is on the silnylon until it is wet and the 
stink and stuff is gone.

However if your cat is like mine, he likes the crinkly noisy claw grabbing 
quality of the silnylon. Look for pinholes.

Another great cat donated olfactory sensation is chipmunk parts, usually 
left in the dining room.
