True words. Of course, there are more than one way to hike the AT. One can 
make it a multi-year activity by hiking in sections, enjoying the planning 
and experience as you age - and hopefully mature. If the bug is in you to 
try a single year thru hike, read all you can of the journals and books, 
including Rhyming Worm's excellent volume, and see what you can arrange for 
next Spring.
