I cannot disagree more. There is nothing to prevent anyone from
petitioning the government or communicating with your representatives
and senators. Motivated and vocal voters strike fear in the heart of
lobbyists and corrupt politicians. It doesn't hurt to help support
politicians who respond to your opinion - even when they disagree.
Money is only one way, and often not the most desired type of
contribution.

But to abandon political action to money contributers is to endorse
sheer cowardice and cynicism.
