If anyone has real information about the price paid in relation to fair value, I'd love to see it.
Otherwise comments like that above is simply more right wing rhetoric. We have the government we
deserve. We vote for it. Some vote based on slogans and prejudice. Some make an effort to genuinely
understand and participate in process. What we have is the best an inadequate system can produce.

As Winston Churchill or someone said, Democracy is a terrible system of government, but it's far
better than what's in second place -- or something like that.

Fundamentally, people who pay for elections absolutely get representation. The rest of us
freeloaders have to make do the best we can. In my opinion only those who take an interest and
contribute have a right to squawk.

Why do you suppose big business is so opposed to campaign finance reform? They don't want to tamper
with a system that works for them.
