I also carried a Platypus for my entire hike with no problems. I have been
thinking about the Platypus in anticipation of a 10 day hike in the Grand
Canyon backcountry and have about decided to replace it. The GC is no place
to have a water carrying problem.

In hiking there is no special recognition given for speed, style or
finesse. There are only those that do the hike and those that don't.
