Not having a 400 pound bear handy It is difficult to test the aluminum
canister. It has a reinforcing ring inside. I suspect that compression
won't work. The canister will probably not fail from a bear jumping on it.

I will take the canister to VVR next Memorial Day. I will fill it with Bud
and hide all screwdrivers. If it survives Butch . . . ((:
