A friend of mine recently told me that she heard that if she feeds apple
cider to her horses a few days before going into the woods it would keep
the mosquitos from bothering the horses. She says that the same thing
can be done by people.
Has anyone else heard about this old time remedy to bothersome insects?
Did she get it right, about it being cider and not vinegar? It seems
that the cider would be attractive to mosquitos and not repell them. Has
anyone actually had any experience with this, and if so, does it actually
