Proper perspective?  I guess that means from the perspective of:

people who drive alone in 4,000 pound gas guzzling SUV's

people who live in homes with more phones, TVs, computers and toilets than people

people who need three (or four, or five) garbage cans for all the waste their profligate lifestyles generate.

Is that the proper perspective?
