Mags, if you think you have the time and you probably will, check out Mount 
Shasta, the Avalance Gultch assent is pretty much a non technical climb and 
it's not far off the trail.  It's a cool mountain, spiritual.  And don't 
forget Yosemite Valley and the Giant Sequoias!  Nothing like standing next to 
a tree that's older than Christianity, makes you wonder.
