Re: [at-l] Glucosatrin



This gets to the heart of why I express skepticism over this and similar 
"stuff." So much of it is based on marketing and testimonials, and so 
little on strict research. There is little money for the research, as these 
are chemicals and compounds that cannot be patented, hence little gain for 
anyone investing the time and expense of research.

There are further issues, such as how these companies skirt FDA rules 
regarding promotional material and hawk their wares. We at least seem to 
know that safety is not a major problem, although efficacy may be 
controversial. Use it if you believe in it. Be cautious about discarding 
more routine and proven treatments, Discuss with a real world doctor in any 
case.
