[at-l] cell phones

My two cents for what its worth- i spent 10 days with Inuit guides in the very
high arctic a few years back. The inuit believe in simplicity for all their
camping gear, so as to be able to repair it as need be. THey have no problem
living off the land ie hunting and fishing. they also have no problem bringing
in a satellite phone to reach base camp if need be. i think their comment
was- there is no great honor in freezing to death and being eaten by a polar
bear- thats just stupid.if modern inventions improve your safety use it. jim
