The only person who should take this as a personal attack is the person who
committed this heinous act.  I'm getting very tired of every communication
from Wingfoot being subjected to a minute analysis by anyone looking for an
excuse to take offense at what he says.  Clinton isn't even getting it this
bad!  If you want to sympathize with Wingfoot,  cut him a break on this
paranoia crap.  I can't imagine having this crime perpetrated on me.  If I had
to write a notice like that,  I'd be a little too preoccupied to edit the
message properly so that no feathers would be ruffled.  In fact,  it seems
like a few list members wish to find fault in anything he says.  If this keeps
up,  I will not blame him for pulling the plug on the list.  And if it goes,
Solar Bear goes with it.  

The ATML has brought great entertainment and information to my desktop;  more
than any other internet service I have found.  Wingfoot is the charismatic
magnet that gives it its uniqueness and added value.  I truly hope that those
who can't live under the ATML tent will simply unsubscribe.  Spare the rest of
us the crass and vitriolic editorials.  We will get along just fine without
the Wingfoot-bashers.

This post goes very much against my personal philosophy of trying to be a
peacemaker between warring backpackers,  but I grow weary of the effort and am
saddened by the lack of results.
