I got my Dazey Vacuum seal-a-meal at Service Merchandise a few years ago.
You can also order one directly from Dazey Corporation, One Dazey Cr.,
Industrial Airport KS 66031. I don't know what they cost now, but mine
was about $20 plus the bags.
The question "is it worth it" can only be answered by you. If you do a lot
a food well ahead of time, then it might be. I have found out that I don't
do anything until I have to. Ha! I also vacuum-pack it and then put it in
the freezer which helps keep it a real long time when I do manage to do
something ahead of time. I do a lot of jerky well ahead of time, but not
much else for some reason. Guess I need to do a thru-hike!
Boston sure is expensive! I live near Hot Springs NC.
