Also - someone yesterday reported that a hiker had told him that the
plaque at Springer had been vandalized and/or stolen. Anyone know whether
there is any truth to this?? The ATC HQ in Harpers Ferry had not heard
anything about such a thing, nor had their southern office, as of late
yesterday.
