The plans for the AMC frame are in the AMC book on trail construction
by Rajala and Proudman. It is the one commonly seen in use by the
hut-persons. Totes a bigger load than most people are willing to carry.
I think I have seen some plans in the AT Register also.
I have a WW II molded plywood frame that I have had for 40+ years. It
was intended for 85lb mortar base plates. It is getting a little beat
up but gets used frequently. I carry my chainsaw on it. Last weekend
it was bridge planking boards.
