Subject: Starting my Hike

Hello to all 

Here in Stowe Vt winter is back, it's cold and skiing is very good again. 
Time for me to head for Springer and hike north till it gets too hot to
enjoy it.  I plan to leave here the 20th visit my son in Durham NC a day
and be on the Trail the 23rd or 24th.  I will be signing off the net
Wednesday. When Jan, my wife, gets back from vacation she plans to
zubscribe. After seeing all the advise on the last list I won't tell you
whats in my pack.  Lets just say there will be some redundance and excess
weight. But less than when I started in 86.  Of course I'm 11 years older
now. 

Anyone planning to start about then, I look forward to the pleasure of
meeting you.
