[at-l] RE:bacon on the trail

YO,

Many grocerys around hear carry a pre cooked shelf bacon that does not
require refrigeration. A box of "Ready Crisp" contains 20 pre cooked
slices of bacon and sells for about $3.00. Its very light weight with
most of the grease already gone. You heat in microwave or just drop the
bag into boiling water. Could be repackaged for the trail in indiviual
servings. Probaly safe for several days in moderate weather.
That another great thing about cold weather hikeing, keeps things
frozen.
