I bought an EMS cover for my Jansport external frame pack.   It weighs 7 oz.
(including the little mesh stuff sack it came in) and has worked very well.
 If the dew is heavy at night and I'm in the open, I always put it on the
pack, and it's kept my pack dry during a night of constant rain.  I wouldn't
hike without it.
