I use the Apex II and recommend the following: Take the legs (it's more stable). Take the repair kit (you probably won't need it, but can't do repairs without it). Use a stuff sack to carry it. Plan on a full (only two-thirds of a bottle for Apex II is full) bottle for 5-7 days on the trail. -Frank Logue
