Cool - but some people need to get the facts before they drag out the
chainsaws.
I have my own problems - MAJOR problems - with Bush. But my problems are
about things that are real - not made-up crap like how he "lies". That's
just plain BS. We HAD the Master of Lies for 8 years. I think he'll be a
great ex-President.

But if one is not willing to give Bush credit for what he does right, then
the argument becomes irrational. If "everything" he does is viewed as evil,
then the viewer needs to look in a mirror - cause it's their problem, not
his.

Political rhetoric is one thing - irrational hatred is quite another. And
I've seen too much of both on this list.

Yeah - I know. At this point, NOBODY has all the facts. If I had ALL the
facts, I'd know why some people have been turned around and told to go back
INTO the city. But at least now I know why a lot of firefighters have been
cooling their heels in Atlanta - and why the Red Cross isn't in evidence in
NO - and why Nagin can scream about how he's not seeing 50,000 National
Guard troopies in the city - and why the "fascism" stuff is nonsense cause
they're apparently not letting ANYONE in - including relief personnel. And
why the supplies that the DOD, Red Cross and FEMA prepositioned in a virtual
ring around the city have NOT been delivered to those who need them. And
why a number (how many?) people have died for lack of those supplies.
Question - have they even allowed any of the "other" (non-LA) Guard troops
in? You know - the ones that ARE under Federal control.

I told you before that I wasn't cranked. And I wasn't - then. But now I am.
I get really pissed when people who should know better pull this kind of
asinine stunt and increase the body count unnecessarily. I'll repeat - I
wonder if any state governor has ever been prosecuted for mass murder?

And it doesn't help my mood when people who are smart enough to know better
blow off new information and mindlessly repeat a predetermined storyline
that no longer has any validity - if, in fact, it ever did have any at all.
Hm - that wasn't in reference to you.

Let me give you the other shoe(s) -
1. the racism charges may well have some validity - but if so, it ain't the
Republicans or Bush or FEMA who are at fault.

2. if we're really, really lucky - the riots won't start and I won't have to
start carrying again.

3. if she's really, really lucky - Blanco's security guards will stop the
assassination attempts that are likely when this gets a little more
publicity.

4. if the Democrats are really, really lucky and the MSM manages to bury
this story deep enough, Louisianans "may" not do a clean sweep in the next
election and break the 35 or 40-year Democratic stranglehold on Louisiana
politics. But I don't think Nagin, Blanco or Landrieu will be among those
who are still around. I could also be wrong about that.

5. BTW - front page news on the WaPo today - there's a LOT more to this part
of the story - don't trip over it in the rush to trim the Bush. It's another
piece of the puzzle that most people don't have - and ignoring it won't make
it go away:
