Thanks for the welcome:-)  I'm from Bangor, which is
the second largest city in maine.  If you've ever been
to Bangor, you know that's a very sad statement.  My
fiance is interested in all things outdoorsy, but
isn't a hiker (yet) and won't be going with me on the
AT.  He'll be my box-dropper and cheerleader, but
he'll also be very busy with his second round of
college while I'm out.
