I put my ULA-P2 in a washing machine four times during my hike.  It 
got the stink out as well as making it look like new.  I removed the 
stays and soft frame material before washing.  I let it air dry after 
washing.  I didn't have a problem with stinky tent/tarp since I made 
a point of airing drying it whenever possible.
