I sure was impressed with the wealth of information
that Chainsaw marshalled. Of course, I am certain he
did it without breaking a sweat.

But the idea of a Central Virginia Hike near
Waynesboro! The only problem is the bypass of Humpback
Rocks south of Waynesboro, but there are so many other
places for great views. I bypassed a section north of
the Priest and blue blazed by some great waterfalls
and streams (Mo Har Trail?), but I understand  all of
the views are great from the AT during clear weather.
Spy Rock is great fun. I'd blue blaze to the Humpback
Rocks, and just choose how far you want to go before
calling one of the many shuttlers for your exit.
