I guess some of us are just more sensitive to strange blobs of white paint in
the forest than are others. Besides, the trail in Maine is wilder than most and
only Katz and Grandma Gatewood ever got lost there. Well, Bump and his wife did
also, but they recovered in time to make it to Springer about Thanksgiving time
the next year.
