[at-l] OT (FYI)

Another reason I like AOL:

They gave us the prize of best Chinese restaurant in South Florida.

Here's the review:

Rainbow Palace
2787 E. Oakland Park Blvd.
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306
954-565-5652

Despite the cheesy name, this Chinese restaurant is elegant, luxurious and
strangely reminiscent of a French eatery, with a soundtrack of opera, not
traditional Chinese music. Everything about Rainbow Palace is non-traditional,
including the lofty prices: Though you'll have probably the best lo mein you'll
ever eat, considering the price tag, you get what you pay for. Instead of typical
wonton soup, there's duck noodle soup, which is exquisite, and, instead of
egg rolls, you've got portobello mushrooms with eggplant in a salty soy-based
sauce. Scallops are fried with Grand Marnier, and the expensive Hong Kong shrimp
is a dazzling fusion of garlic, ginger, white wine and vegetables. You'll pay
gourmet prices to dine in this gourmet restaurant, which is probably why it's
named the Rainbow Palace. The pot of gold stops -- and empties out -- here.
