I made that same mistake and bought a cheap fleece blanket in Waynesboro for 
a cover.  What made it worse, I split the $5 blanket with a friend by cutting 
it in half and it just barely covered me.  If wasn't enough in the Shenadoahs, 
but worked fine afterwards, up to Glencliffe.  I got around the problem by 
either tenting which afforded more heat or when sheltering to use my tent for 
additional warmth.  

>From what Kelly has already mentioned she wont be sheltering, so she may want 
to keep her warmer sleeping bag until atleast Front Royal.
