Hey Hopeful, you better pack warm - the last I heard it was going to be 8* up
there - we might get chilly!

I too am going for an overnight , just picked up my pack and said "ugh."
It's at about 30 pounds with water and food, but when you are used to
carrying 20 or less in the summer, that's a huge difference.

Kelty Coyote
1 sleeping bag, 15* down

candles, 2 esbit tabs, spoon, 2 boxes of matches, pot cozy)

max capacity

2 pr zaktrax type boot covers (1 for me, 1 for Hopeful)

I'll wear these which are not included in the 30 pounds
1 fleece sweater
1 long sleeve capalene zip T shirt
1 short sleeve capalene T
1 pair of polar fleece tights
1 pr nylon shorts
boots and socks
1 pair short gaiters

Like Hopeful, I have one evening meal, lunch/snack type stuff and 1
breakfast. Also an extra dinner because it's winter and I always carry extra
food in the winter.

Reviewing this list, I realize that Hopeful and I packed almost the exact
same stuff. In fact, I only had to change a couple items. That's pretty neat.

Hope we stay warm......brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
