Subject: [at-l] Trail Books

Working keeps me off the trail during the winter..but reading allows me to
have a little trail enjoyment. I would like to know what others are reading
and the trail books they would recommend.

A while ago on another list someone suggested The Long Walk by Slavomir Ra=
wicz. It's about a 4,000 mile journey by seven escapees from a Siberian pri=
son camp to India during WWII . I don't usually have the patience to read =
a book from cover to cover but this one was a quick and great read. It make=
s an AT thru hike seem like a mere walk in the park, which in fact it is.
