[at-l] Escalante

I have been to Escalante, Bryce, Zion and Canyonlands. As you point out most
of Utah could fall under the same umbrella of being special and deserving of
protection. But the people who live in Utah deserve some respect too. I
doubt that folks in Virgina or Maine would be too happy if 80% of that state
was seized by the Feds and made into parks and monuments. Escalante is
special but so is all that area and it it is already protected adequately by
existing parks. State parks could and do protect petroglyph sites and such
there already without a massive land take away.
