Memoirs of AT hikes that have a lot about the natural world in their
stories:

1. Browne, Robert A. "The Appalachian Trail: History, Humanity, and
Ecology." Stafford, Va.: Northwoods Press, 1980.
2. Sherman, Steve and Julia Older. "Appalachian Odyssey: Walking the
Trail from Georgia to Maine." Brattleboro, Vt.: Stephen Greene
	Press, 1977.
3. Wadness, Kenneth. "Sojourn in the Wilderness: A Seven Month Journey
on the Appalachian Trail." Prospect, Ky.: Harmony House, 1997.
[This one also has gorgeous photography.]
