[at-l] Have I made a pack purchase mistake?

If you have talked to hikers or read AT Journals you see
many references to hitting the AYCE or pigging out in
one form or another when ya hit town. That is not just
cause they are tired of trail food, it's because they are hungry!!!!

Now, why are they hungry. They are in charge of how much food they
carry. They could have packed more food. No one was stopping them
from packing more food, so why didn't they? Cause they didn't want to
carry the weight of more food. They'd rather go hungry than put more
food/weight on their backs.

Your new pack weighs as much as 2-3 days worth of food.

the Gearfinder at http://www.gearfinder.com/ss.asp?FAM=Packs
suggests that there are 200 packs that are lighter and smaller
than the one you have selected. Maybe you made your selection
too quickly?
