In either case, it behooves the rescuing organization to get with it ASAP.
That which may be a benign situation with no threat to life or property can
turn ugly very quickly with the passage of a weather front and/or a
temperature drop.

It is much easier on all involved - the rescuer and the rescuee - to get
with it, get it done, and get back before everybody's life is at risk.  And,
for that, no charge, sir.  Thanks for calling us early.
