I find Wingfoot's Handbook much more usable (for planning at least) than the companion for the
simple reason of how they list the mileages. The Handbook lists the
mileposts at each point of interest while the Companion puts all these
mileposts at the beginning of each section, which makes for a heck of a
lot of page flipping. I have noticed that there are some points
mentioned in the Handbook which are not found in the companion, and
probably vice-versa as well, but since I use the Companion as a
secondary reference I haven't found that yet.
