[at-l] Re: still more maildrop stuff

This is what I would do for mail drops in your section:

-Start with 3.5-4 days of food from springer.
-Buy at Neels Gap or send bounce box with 4 days of food.
-Send 5 days of food to Blueberry Patch Hostel.... stay at Deep Gap Shelter
the night before and plan to get to the road crossing by 9am, which is
roughly when Gary & Lennie (the hostel owners) are bringing the previous
day's hikers back to the trail. This eliminates the need to go all the way
into town. It's also a great place to take the afternoon off...(but don't
plan on out-going mail here)
-go into RS or Franklin to pick up the extra day or two you might need to
get to Wesser.
-Wesser/NOC - i wouldn't bother with a box here because it's so close to
Fontana. The outfitter usually has enough to do the 2.5 days to Fontana.
-Fontana - good place for a box.
-i try to skip both Gatlinburg and Mtn Mama's and go all the way to Hot
Springs, but it means carrying about 7 days of food. MM is okay if you don't
have high expectations. You could even stay at Davenport Gap Shelter, do a
quick morning re-supply there, and still get a full day of hiking in. You
could probably get a few days of food there without having a box...

Hrm. Says here $70 up for a room at the Holiday Express. Ow.

Any suggestions for getting into Hiawassee? Anybody shuttle hikers
in that area?

Also what do people wear into the pool? I'm assuming nekkidness
is frowned on in most lodging establishments.
