30 degrees.  still in the tent, in the sleeping bag.  i've been in here about 15 hours, and am in no hurry to leave...

lots of animal sounds last night, and occasional sounds from the roadway.  when everything got silent, i could here the stream.  the winds ended shortly after dark, and the night was peaceful.  i slept off and on.  my back started hurting so i took some pain killers...

i'll probably let the light of day fully develope before leaving this toasty cocoon.  10 more degrees would be nice.  not really hungry, but i'll eat something...
