[at-l] virtual vs real conversations

In addition to facial expression and saying more via virtual (due to guts?  
lack of fear of response?), there's also the sound of the person's voice.  It 
can tell a lot too.  

A friend called me one night.
Me:  Hello.
She:  Hey.
Me:  What's wrong?
She:  What makes you think something's wrong?
Me:  The way you're chewing your gum.  I can hear it.
She:  Well, you're right.
