[at-l] Taking care of business - walking belongings

I used the orange logo Public Storage, Internal units, climate controlled.
Also take note that there is climate control and 'climate control'. There
are many variations out there. If you have an external unit w/ outside
access - externa garage door type thing - you will be effected much more by
outside weather / humidity than if you are in one of those towers where
everything is totally inside. I have heard of instances where the external
units had water from severe rain storms leak in under the garage door seal
and ruined anything that contacted the floor.

I was very happy w/ the condition of my belongings... books are all fine and
furniture and paintings as well. no musty smells either.

Wow!
Some practical advice I can use!
Any tips on selecting storage facilities? I need to store books,
some nice
rugs, other paperwork. Does it need to be climate-controled?
C'mon, I know lots of you have tread this ground!
