You may be right. Though, right now, I'm not 'from' Indiana. I'm IN Indiana. And,
I'm pretty sure that Vera ain't a guy named Tom from Indiana. If she is, well, my
sixth grade health teacher was all screwed up. (Or, that peep-hole in the shower
wall at the Gathering was lookin' in the wrong shower.) Tennessee Tom is from
Indiana, though his name isn't really Tom. His real name is Jones. So, he could
have been either Indiana Jones, or Tom Jones. Since he can't sing...he went with
Tennessee Tom. And, everyone knows about Orval Redenbacher. His real name was Tom
Redenbacher. Someone said "You should change your name. No one will ever buy a
car from a guy named Tom Redenbacher." So, he changed it to Orval. Ironically, if
you bought a new car from Orval, he'd through in a bag of "Uncle Tom's Popcorn".
Orval was named after his Uncle Tom Redenbacher (before he changed his name, that
is.) (Orval, not Uncle Tom.) Uncle Tom had a brother, Ben, who sold bags of rice.
None of them were hikers, though. Well, hitchhikers, maybe. (To make this on
topic...when I just said 'hitchhikers', it reminded me of a conversation I had at
Abol Bridge with a couple of college kids that had smoked waaaaaay too much
something. They are actually semi-subjects of what might be the next ATN
story...) So, I think that mutual funds are safe, but really aren't moving much
right now.
