[at-l] porta-johns / outhouses

even for everyday use an old fashioned outhouse would work. Some friends of
mine moved to an area out in WV back in the hills beyond the Shenandoah
valley. The area they are in has no city water or sewage and its on ridges
so perking is tough. Its also not an area full of people w/ lots of money.
Their house is one of the rare ones in their area that actually has indoor
flush toilets. I didn't know places like that still existed... When they
moved in I remember her telling me they were all excited that they got the
old outhouse cleaned out and functional again w/ the ole bucket of lime etc.
When I visited, some of their friends we went to visit w/ amazing houses on
the edge of the ridges w/ the most beautiful views I've seen when not hiking
- had just the ole privy / outhouse sitting off to the side.

Your cheapest soln would be just dig a very very deep hole and build a nice
outhouse on top & keep that lime handy! Perhaps even setup a separate
peeing area to help aid decomposition?

How much use will it get? If it's not for a family's everyday use, I'd
recomend a good old fashioned outhouse.
