[at-l] Fords

from Springer to Blue Ridge - I only remember 1 ford that seemed dangerous
and it was cuz it was right after several days of deluge storming. It was
after Standing Indian & was actually short and we were able to go over logs
& rocks etc w/o even getting wet - it was just scary cuz the way over didn't
seem secure and it was the first time I'd ever done something like that.
Everything in the south either has a bridge, rocks across, or jump across,
or very short. I think the big fording area is Maine.

How many fords can I expect on the AT?
Are there a lot of river crossings, are there bridges..
Does one have to ford rivers every day ?
Are there just a few notorious ones?

I don't care about just getting my feet frozen...
but want a heads up on any dangerous fords...
