I've read the Hobbit, and the LOTR trilogy 3 times in the last 5 years.  The 
Hobbit was the first book I ever read of my own free will.  I loved it.  
Since then I've been quazi-addicted to fantasy.  RA Salvatore would be one 
of my favorites (IceWind Dale Trilogy as well as many other excellent reads) 
as well as Ed Greenwood.  I read all kinds of boods, but fantasy takes up a 
good portion of them.
